In 2012, Kiersten Tuel founded Oconee Wild Watersports after a four-year stint working for her father's business, Jet Ski Terry's. She teamed up with a business partner and purchased four Yamaha WaveRunners and a pontoon boat to start the venture. Initially, Kiersten personally delivered rentals to customers, a unique service that set her apart.
In April 2013, she secured a permanent location and expanded the offerings to include kayak and paddle board rentals. Over the years, Oconee Wild Watersports has experienced tremendous growth, due in part to its focus on exceptional service and providing the best possible experience for customers. The staff is dedicated to ensuring that the equipment is top-notch.
Customers can choose from pontoons, kayaks, paddle boards, and Jet Skis, as well as wakeboards, tubes, water skis, a Chaparral Ski Boat, a Sea Pro Citation deck boat, and Elite Tritoons with 200hp or 250hp. The delivery service, which many customers have come to appreciate, is still available. The fleet is upgraded every two years, and captains are available for the boats.
