Discover the power of rhythm in Global Rhythm Classes led by percussionist Don Parker and hosted by Milledgeville Allied Arts. This interactive class series is designed for learners from 6th grade through adults, offering a fun and engaging way to explore rhythm and drumming from a global perspective.

Participants will learn the basics of rhythm notation, time signatures, and drumming techniques using hand drums and small percussion instruments. Through demonstrations, guided listening, and group activities, students will explore rhythms inspired by styles such as R&B, Hip-Hop, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and West African music. Each session concludes with a collaborative group performance that brings rhythm reading and creativity together.
