Okefenokee Paddle Camping Trip

  • Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge 4155 Suwannee Canal Road Folkston, GA, 31537 United States (map)

Join us for a 1 night, 2 day paddle-camping trip in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge March 23rd - 24th with an optional, but encouraged, bonus night on the 22nd.

This is the perfect opportunity to try out camping for the first time and a good way to experience the beauty of the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge with a shorter overnight trip! Our guides take care of the logistics of each day on the water and create a comfortable camping experience, even for first time campers! Your guides will provide each of your meals for the duration of the trip. Breakfast, dinner, and don't forget dessert are cooked for the group family style. Lunch each day is build your own to allow for lunch in the boat if the itinerary necessitates.

The itinerary for this 1-night overnight camping trip in March begins with an optional night camping or lodging just outside of the refuge Sunday Night, allowing us to be close to the entrance of the swamp to begin paddling on Monday morning. Monday night we will camp on one of the designated sites in the refuge. Both the specific campsite location, and the bonus night location are yet to be determined as sites currently are not reservable until 1 month out from trip dates. Canoes, group gear, and per person platform reservation fees are already included in the overall trip cost. Your guide will be in contact regarding any additional camping gear needs and will provide a suggested personal packing list and discuss meal preferences.
