Step back in time at Portraits of the Past on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the historic Brown Stetson Sanford House.

Hosted by the Georgia's Old Capital Heritage Center at the Depot, this special evening explores the rich history of one of Milledgeville’s most treasured historic homes. Guests will celebrate the installation of two oil portraits depicting Dan Stetson and Edith Stetson, whose family transformed the former Brown Hotel into a private residence during the mid-19th century. Admission includes a guided history program in the Music Room, docent-led tours of the house, and light refreshments. Tickets are $15.
