Voices of Heritage will showcase four uniquely Milledgeville stories celebrating Black leaders, institutions, and their lasting impact on the community through the art of storytelling.
Guests will experience the powerful histories of Sallie Ellis Davis, Peyton Cook, Joe Ingram, and the enduring legacy of Flagg Chapel as a gifted storyteller brings their stories to life.
This free, family-friendly event offers an engaging opportunity to explore Milledgeville's rich history. Attendees are also encouraged to visit the Central State Hospital Museum, where exhibits highlight the history of one of Georgia's most significant institutions, including the Peyton Cook and Joe Ingram buildings, named in honor of two of these local heroes.
Free popcorn will be available while supplies last. Families, friends, and visitors of all ages are invited to experience the stories that continue to connect Milledgeville's past with its present.
