Independence Day at Lake Sinclair

Nothing says freedom like spending the Fourth of July on the lake, and Lake Sinclair is the best place to start. Commemorating America’s 250th, numerous events are going on this holiday, and we’ve made a guide on how and where to celebrate Independence Day this year.

Hi there! I’m Savanna Waddell, a native of the Lake Sinclair community. Lake Sinclair is my happy place, and I’ve spent most summers at the Waddell family lake house, a treasure in our family where many memories were made by friends and family over the past 70 years. The Waddell family celebrates with almost a hundred relatives at my grandparents’ lake house on Lake Sinclair every Fourth of July, a tradition that has been present for almost 80 years! What else says freedom, faith, and family, than eating delicious barbecue with family from near and far? I can say from experience that there’s no better place to spend the Fourth than at the lake; the view of the water, fireworks, family, and good barbecue become the epitome of American freedom when spent lakeside. Some of my best memories are found at Lake Sinclair, and Independence Day wouldn’t be the same without it. The Lake Sinclair area has various celebrations to honor our freedom and enjoy family time in the greatest country. We hope this guide is helpful for you and that you make many good memories this Fourth of July season wherever you choose to spend it!
