April - October we'll take to the river about every month when the full moon is out and shining bright. If you've never been before, come with us on this serene and unforgettable adventure that combines nature, camaraderie, and a dreamlike moonlight glow.
Those renting kayaks or canoes, and anyone who reserved a spot on our shuttle with their own boats will meet at the Central State Boat Ramp at 6:30PM, leaving vehicles there, and riding the shuttle up to the Greenway.
We will depart the Oconee River Greenway at approx 7:00PM, paddling downstream to the Central State Hospital ramp.
Have your own gear and don't need shuttle support? You're welcome to join us, and the best way to do that is plan to be at the Greenway by 7:00 to get ready to launch with us.

Presented by Oconee Outfitters and Seeking Asylum, this guided evening adventure combines a scenic river float with storytelling focused on the city’s most haunting history. Participants will meet at the Oconee River Greenway boat ramp. Admission is $70 per person and includes watercraft rental, shuttle service, and the tour. Guests bringing their own kayak pay $40, with transportation provided for personal vessels. Celebrate 250 years of American history at Putnam County's spectacular America 250 Drone Show on Friday, July 3, 2026. Get ready for a patriotic treasure hunt through the heart of downtown Greensboro! The Liberty & Local Scavenger Hunt kicks off July 1–10, 2026, as part of the community's celebration of America's 250th Birthday.
For ten exciting days, organizers will hide 25 pieces of tiny magnetic art each day, totaling 250 unique pieces throughout downtown Greensboro. Participants can follow daily clues released by Dock 103.9 and posted on the Downtown Greensboro Facebook and Instagram pages before heading out to search for hidden treasures.
As you explore, discover local businesses, enjoy patriotic red, white, and blue displays, and support the shops and restaurants that make downtown Greensboro special. Whether you're hunting for art, exploring the community, or making memories with family and friends, this event offers a fun and unique way to celebrate America's milestone birthday.

Sheryl "Mac" McCollum, Founder and Director of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute (CCIRI) and Georgia author of "Cold Case: Pathways to Justice" will discuss and present an unsolved true crime case! A single ticket is $45 each or multiple tickets are $40 each.
Valentine's Day Renezvous 2026
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an evening of live music as Georgia College’s Max Noah Singers present Valentine’s Day Rendezvous at 7:30 pm in the Magnolia Ballroom at the Student Activity Center. This special concert features a mix of classic and contemporary love songs performed by the full ensemble, with selections ranging from Peter Gabriel’s In Your Eyes to Walk the Moon’s Shut Up and Dance.
The program also includes solos, duets, a trio, and small ensembles showcasing pop music, musical theatre, and original works. A five dollar donation is encouraged, with proceeds supporting music scholarships and the Georgia College Department of Music through the GCSU Foundation.
The concert will be live streamed on the Georgia College Music Department Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.
