Popsicles & Receipts: A Sweet Summer Send-Off in Downtown Eatonton
Downtown Eatonton is closing out summer with a sweet celebration on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 29. Families and kids are invited to stop by for free popsicles (while supplies last), courtesy of the Eatonton Main Street Advisory Board. It’s a perfect way to cool off and enjoy the final days of summer before school begins.
To add to the fun, shoppers can take part in a Downtown Receipt Raffle. Anyone who presents a receipt dated July 29 from any Downtown Eatonton business—regardless of the amount—will receive one raffle entry per receipt for a chance to win a swag bag full of goodies. Winners will be announced and contacted the following week.

Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social - August Adventure
Back by popular demand, the August Adventure returns to the Old School History Museum for an old-fashioned Ice Cream Social!
This free, family-friendly event invites guests of all ages to enjoy an afternoon of classic fun, presented in partnership with the Arts Barn.
Activities include games, singing, dancing, crafts, and of course—plenty of ice cream! It’s the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer with a sweet dose of nostalgia and community spirit.
An Evening in Eatonton
Mark your calendars for a festive evening in Downtown Eatonton on Thursday, September 26, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM!
Enjoy extended shopping and dining hours while celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with friends, food, and fun.
Shoppers are encouraged to pick up a punch card at participating businesses. For every $15 spent at a single location, you’ll earn a punch. Once you collect five punches, turn in your completed card for a chance to win a gift basket filled with goodies from downtown merchants.
It’s the perfect night to explore local shops, enjoy delicious dining, and support the downtown community. Stay tuned for a list of specials from participating businesses!
Milledgeville Christmas Parade
The Exchange Club invites the community to celebrate the season at the annual Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 7th at 3:00 PM!
A beloved holiday tradition, the parade promises festive floats, cheerful music, and plenty of holiday spirit for all ages. Families, friends, and neighbors are encouraged to line the streets, enjoy the sights and sounds of the season, and kick off the holidays together in true community fashion.

Christmas in Eatonton
Celebrate the season in Downtown Eatonton at the annual Christmas Parade, a beloved community tradition you won’t want to miss! This year’s parade will light up the night with a festive evening kickoff at 6:00 PM and plenty of holiday cheer.
Before and after the parade, enjoy food trucks and local vendors set up on the Putnam County Courthouse lawn. Santa Claus will make a special appearance in the parade and will be available for free photos from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM—just bring your own camera!
The event is pet-friendly and will take place rain or shine, with the only exception being lightning. Don’t forget to share the news with your friends and join in the holiday magic in Downtown Eatonton!

City of Milledgeville Fireworks Display
The City of Milledgeville presents the 4th of July Independence Day Firework Celebration on Friday, July 4th at just after dark on the campus of Central Georgia Technical College!
The parking lot at the campus will be closed off for the event. Suggested viewing areas for the fireworks include Walter B. Williams park and the parking lot of the Board of Education.

Rock Eagle 4-H Center Fireworks Display
Each year, Rock Eagle hosts hundreds of 4-H campers over the seasons. One of the biggest camp sessions happens the week of July 4th, so a special firework show for the campers is always a highlight.
The fireworks will take place Wednesday, July 2nd at dark. You are welcome to enjoy the display from across the lake, but not near the campgrounds.
