Workshops will rotate every four months with new artists and new mediums to explore—so there’s always something fresh to try and new ways to create!

Lockerly Arboretum: Bi-Annual Kids Fishing Event
Lockerly’s bi-annual fishing event is here. It is FREE for all kids to fish the pond recently stocked by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources with catfish.

Do Art Productions Comic Book Workshop
Join Do Art Productions for a free and interactive Comic Book Workshop designed to spark creativity and imagination in young artists! Geared toward ages 6–14, this hands-on experience dives into the unique language of comics—exploring everything from expressive eyes and body posture to the dialogue inside speech bubbles.
Participants will engage in fun and engaging activities, learning the basics of cartooning before working together to create an original comic using their own characters and ideas. Arrive on time and get ready to create!

Kids ages 6–12 are invited to drop by the Eatonton-Putnam County Library for a fun and creative afternoon making their very own coloring books.
This hands-on activity takes place from 1:00 to 4:00 PM—no sign-up required. All supplies will be provided, and the finished books make great on-the-go activities or thoughtful gifts for family and friends.

Stop by the Eatonton Putnam County Library for Swirling Words Art and create a self-portrait that reflects personality through color and creativity!

Children's Trolley Tour: Reptile Adventures
All aboard Milly the Trolley for a fun-filled adventure perfect for curious young explorers! This special one-hour tour begins with a reading of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood before Milly sets off for the Woods Museum at Lockerly Arboretum. Once there, kids will meet fascinating animal residents like Reggie the American Alligator and Teedo the ball python, and learn about the museum's many species from Lockerly’s Director of Education, Kensey. Each child will receive a small snack along the way.
Tour takes place Saturday, June 28 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Departs from the Milledgeville Visitor Information Center at 200 West Hancock St.
Tickets: $15 per person
