Children's Trolley Tour: Reptile Adventures

All aboard Milly the Trolley for a fun-filled adventure perfect for curious young explorers! This special one-hour tour begins with a reading of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood before Milly sets off for the Woods Museum at Lockerly Arboretum. Once there, kids will meet fascinating animal residents like Reggie the American Alligator and Teedo the ball python, and learn about the museum's many species from Lockerly’s Director of Education, Kensey. Each child will receive a small snack along the way.

Tour takes place Saturday, June 28 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Departs from the Milledgeville Visitor Information Center at 200 West Hancock St.

Tickets: $15 per person

Reserve by calling 478-452-4687 or visiting the Visitor Center in person

Rain or shine – the trolley is fully enclosed and climate-controlled

Ideal for children ages 3-8 | Parents and guardians are welcome to attend

Space is limited and advance ticket purchases are strongly encouraged.

Lockerly Arboretum: Bi-Annual Kids Fishing Event

Lockerly’s bi-annual fishing event is here. It is FREE for all kids to fish the pond recently stocked by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources with catfish.

Come see if you can reel in the biggest fish!

  • For children ages 16 & under

    1. We provide the bait! (fish love hot dogs)

    2. Bring your own rods, reels, tackle, stringer or bucket

This year's parade will take place in the evening. They will also have food trucks and vendors on the Courthouse lawn before and after the Parade.

Q: What time does the parade begin?
A: The parade steps off at 6:00pm.

Q: Will Santa be in the parade?
A: Yes, Santa will be in the parade.

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: The parade will take place rain or shine! The only weather that will keep the parade from taking place is lightning.

Q: Is the parade "pet friendly?"
A: Yes, the events are "pet friendly."

Q: Can we take pictures with Santa after the Parade?
A: Yes, Santa will be available for photos from 6:30pm until 9:00pm on the lawn of the Putnam County Courthouse.
